Commerce Bank Harrisburg’s conversion into MetroBank went live over the weekend – and it was a complete disaster, everything from paychecks not being recorded, tellers breaking down and crying, and debit cards suddenly being turned off. Metro Bank has a big PR headache which hopefully their customer friendly service will be able to recover from.

Slowly but surely the MetroBank formed by the combination of PHiladelphia’s Republic First Bank and Commerce Bank/Harrisburg is being formed – rebranding of the locations should be complete by the 3rd quarter of 2009.
