MGM’s CityCenter Gets A Reprive
MGMMirage was expected to file their CityCenter project for bankruptcy today due to an interest payment that was due with Dubai World. By the end of the day the payment was made – without Dubai World’s help, and the project continues.
For those wondering where I’ve been hiding over the past few weeks – I’ve been here, just reevaluating my career goals, and the goals of this blog.. I’ve decided to go back to school – get my Masters in Real Estate, so that I can learn all I need to learn, and give myself a good step forward in the real estate industry.
Dubai World Giving MGMMirage It’s Biggest Problem Yet
Dubai World has sued MGM Mirage to stop having to put money into the CityCenter Project – but this move may put MGMMirage in bankruptcy.
Sears Tower Changing Name to “Willis Tower”
Recently Willis Insurance Group signed a long term lease within the Sears tower – and also received naming rights to rename the building Willis Tower. Not only that, but the price the lease was signed for is so low that it shows just how willing landlords are to negotiate on price.
Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Updates – And My Personal Take On Things

First Look Inside Bungalow Hotel in Pier Village
Bungalow Hotel in Pier Village will be opening in May. Earlier this week I had the opportunity to get a tour of the property to see how it was developing and ask questions about the finished hotel project
Asbury Park’s Slow But Continual Renewal
I had a comment left on my previous post about Asbury Park essentially asking if Asbury is turning into a ghost town again. I think its time for an update on the status of Asbury and why it is a ghost town now – but it’s still very much going through a renewal.
More on Cuba and The Current State of It’s Travel Industry
To those who are very familiar with Cuba and their tourism industry it sounds as though my last post on the Bill to Change Travel Restrictions has hit a nerve with them. I received an email today which I’m going to quote bits and pieces of here – it will shed some light on the [...]
Bill Going Through House of Representatives Lifting Ban On Travel To Cuba
A bill is being worked on in the House of Representatives lifting the travel embargo with Cuba for American citizens – but in order for it to really work, and for America to really benefit from it – the trade embargo needs to be lifted or significantly lessened simultaneously.
Tropicana’s New Marketing Push Mainly Intended For Las Vegas Property
Last week I wrote about the rebranding attempt by the owners of the Tropicana Atlantic City.. The only problem was the rebranding was mainly intended for the Tropicana Las Vegas property – with the hope that it can be extended to Atlantic City if Columbia Sussex is able to regain control of the property. Hmm. Interesting details the local papers leave out isn’t it?
