I think the hotel industry will be affected by the downturn (I wouldnt call it a recession - the media is making it a recession) but not in a major way. Most of the brand owners - Starwood, Intercontinental, Hilton, etc - are showing no signs of a smaller development pipeline. I think we might see a decline in some areas, but some other areas - will have a minor blip. Thats just my opinion though.. Really have no factual data to back it up except for what I've read and analyzed myself.
