Sands Casino Implosion Information

I’ve noticed alot of people coming across my blog looking for information on the Sands Hotel & Casino Implosion in Atlantic City this week (the first casino implosion on the East Coast – and I predict it will be far from the last), so I’ll provide some quick facts here.

Date & Time of Implosion: Thursday, October 18th, at 9:30PM

Is there a rain date?: No, the implosion will occur rain or shine

Where is the Implosion Location?: Indiana & Pacific Avenues

When will there be fireworks?: Fireworks will occur prior to the implosion

Parking Options: Park anywhere that is legal in Atlantic City, including on the street or in the parking garages

What streets will be closed off?: From approximately 5PM until 11PM Pacific Avenue, between Ohio & Kentucky; and on Indiana, MLK, and Mt. Vernon Aves., from Atlantic Ave. to the Boardwalk.

Will there be restroom facilities?: Pinnacle will not provide restrooms, yet there are plenty of public restrooms in the surrounding casinos

Where is the best view of the implosion?: The best view will probably be from beach or Boardwalk areas from Tennessee Avenue to Park Place, since most of the site is surrounded by buildings.
